Seed Saving Workshop

In two weeks I'm teaching a basic seed saving workshop in Port Townsend, Washington at the Washington Tilth Conference. I've been teaching this subject for quite some time, and have been getting pretty excited about all the increased awareness of the importance of organically grown seed, and seed sovereignty. Here are a few things I will discuss during the workshop:
  • Flower morphology and how plants reproduce
  • The importance of large populations
  • How to ensure genetic integrity of your seed crop
  • How to harvest and clean your seed
I'll have lots of props, pictures, and seeds on hand to demonstrate and discuss with attendees. It is sure to be a good time!
