Community Garden

I joined a new community garden this year because I moved. The space is 108 square feet, which doesn't seem like a lot of real estate until you start making a garden plan. I decided to document the progress of the garden- including yields- to highlight how much food can be grown in a small space. I will be using square foot planting methods, biological pest control in the form of insect predators, some compost and fertilizer.

Everything will be posted to The Garden page, so look there for any further updates, starting with my first weeding today!

  1. Looking forward to following this! The students (college) that are organizing the garden at my kid's school (elementary) are also using square foot gardening. They just showed the kids how to plant garlic on Thursday.
